Clogging is an American folk dance which dates back to the 1700s. Modern clogging shows many similarities to tap and Irish dancing, with Irish, Scottish, English, Dutch-German and other influences. It is best described as a dance that makes rhythmic tapping sounds with the feet, enhanced by the use of special that emphasize the tapping sounds. These usually are soft leather shoes with hard soles and attached metal taps. Clogging has something for everyone!
